How do we prefent "Top Level" bookings in My Timesheet from happen

Workers within our company will in a Timesheet on a daily basis and submit it
at the end of the week, after this the Timesheet is imported into My Tasks
and normally a Task Update would happen. But when users have booking on "Top
Level" tasks within the Timesheet, the import (and therefor task update) will
not happen. This question is also discussed in the MS Project General
Question forum, for this reason I would like your attention for the following
topic:

TIA for any reply.

I looked at the thread you mentioned. Rod and Jan gave you the correct
answer to your question. Beyond that, there is no way to prevent team
members from booking time to the Top Level tasks in the My Timesheet page.
Instead, I believe you need to make this a training and performance issue
with your team members. Teach them how to apply Actual Work to regular
tasks (not to Top Level tasks) and then hold them accountable for their
performance. Hope this helps.
