How do you delete a program

I went to my control panel to uninstall a program - stamps.com. When I try
to uninstall it, it says "Cannot open Install.log file". How do I delete
this program and all it's spider web when it won't delete from the control
panel.

Ok - in general, how do you delete a program when there is no uninstall
option? I've seen t he happen a couple of times where there is no uninstall
option.

OK - in general, and in particular - your question has nothing to
do with Microsoft Office, so your question is off-topic in this
newsgroup which is for questions about Microsoft Office.

You look in the program's folder for an uninstall utility.. note that it
MUST be the program's folder, not just any old folder.. if you go to any old
folder, you will not find an uninstall utility anyway.. it must be
specifically THE program's folder..

For more information, go to the website of the program's author (not any old
website will do) and see what it suggests..

If, in the meantime, you have a specific problem with Microsoft Office, you
can come back to here and ask for help..

Hmmm Dell says I should contact Microsoft as uninstalling a program is part
of the Microsoft program. Whatever.

That's because it is outside of Dell's scope as well. Try posting your
question in a Windows newsgroup instead of an Office newsgroup.

Thats because Dell Tech jumped to the first thing that came into their head,
without listening to the Q and gave you an incorrect answer. The problem
lies with the App 'Stamps' contact their tech support

Thank you. I didn't realize I was in the wrong group. Update: Stamps.com
wasn't helpful either. Evidently there is a file missing from the program.
I get an error that says caould not open install.log file. I sent Stamps.com
another email. Sorry for getting into the wrong group. I'll follow the link
for the correct group. Thanks again.

That's fine, but you want to post your question on the appropriate Microsoft
Windows newsgroup, not the MS Office newsgroup, because your question is
related to your operating system.

No worries, and good luck with it. Wish I knew the answer.

(I'm sorry stamps.com wasn't more helpful, either.)
