How do you get a task to take up the time between two other task?

I have a number of tasks that depend on each other for delivery of equipment
and installation. Part of the delivery is early and means I can divert the
part-product to a different area and this changes once the full plant is
going. I want to show the where the part-product goes in the interim. It
will take all the time up between the time the first part of the plant is
going until the secdond part is going.

Tom,
Well the first part makes sense, you have a plan wherein the tasks are
interdependent - the way it should be. The part that gets fuzzy is the
statement about wanting to show where the part-product goes in the
interim. Maybe I'm missing your point but that should be a matter of
setting the Predecessor and Successor of that task to the appropriate
source and destination tasks, but it something you've got to do, Project
can't think for you.

Maybe what you are looking for is what is called a "hammock task". For
information on how to set up a hammock task, go to the MVP website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and look at FAQ 19 - Hammock tasks.

If it is something else you are after, an example would help us to
understand what you want to do. Then we can offer one or more
suggestions.

Hope this helps.

Yes that is what it was. Just needed to know the name of it.
It looks like it is dynamic and only needs to be pasted the once.
Thanks Mate!!
