How do you link Slides by outline to the source file?

Hi all

Is is possible to update Slides by outline when you have changed the source
presentation so that the changes appear in the new presentation?

I have tried using Slides by file and checking the link option, however it
inserts the source slides as a smaller version of themselves instead of
taking up the space of the whole slide
