Hi Nannette:

The answer is "No" it can't be done. A user who wants to change the size o
something can always find a way to do so in Word.

However, for users who WANT to get it right, you can very nearly achieve
your requirement.

Construct your template using Text Boxes to contain the changing material.
You can set the size of a text box. Users can then change the content of a
text box and the text box will not change size unless they specifically
change it.

So things will end up the right size unless the user is TRYING to break
things :)

Cheers

Hi Nannette -

In addition to John's suggestion you can also create a table (or multiple
tables) & in Table> Table Properties - Row Height set the height of each row
to Exactly rather than At Least. Also remove the check on the Table -
Options page that enables "Automatically resize to fit contents".

Keep in mind, though, that although the size of tables & text boxes will
remain fixed (unless someone *intentionally* changes it) neither can prevent
the user from entering more content than can be displayed. IOW, the height &
width doesn't restrict the amount of content.
