I need to understand how to print screens from intenet applications, place
them into powerpoint presentations, and resize them or edit them as needed.
How do I do that?

First and foremost, you need to understand the copyright laws or what ever
equivalent are active in your country. Just because it is on the net does
not mean you are allowed to use it. Check with the webmaster for
permission.

To capture the screen, just use the 'Prt Scrn' button on your keyboard and
then select PowerPoint and select 'Paste' from the edit pulldown menu. This
will copy the screen onto the slide as a graphic. It can be resized to your
needs.

There are also several screen capture utilities available for download on
the web, do a Google search for "screen capture".

You can also print a web page to a Snag-it file or an Adobe file, if you
have either of those programs installed.
