How do you put a border around an indented bulleted list

Hi, can anyone tell me how to put a border around a bulleted list where some
of the bullets are indented without the list being split into separate boxes.
thanks

You can't as long as the text is just ordinary paragraph text (well, you
might be able to by fudging the "Distance from text" or the indents, but it
won't be easy or satisfactory), but you can put the entire text block into a
text box, frame, or table cell and put a border around that.

In addition to Suzanne's suggestion, you might like to know this: The
paragraph border puts a group of paragraphs into a single box only if they
are the same paragraph style. Your indented bullets (subbullets?) are
probably in a different paragraph style from the others.

I don't believe this is true. I routinely use several styles within the same
box border. It's the indents that trigger a border change.

You are right. Sorry. It is confusing, though. My experience is that if I
have say three paragraphs bordered in one box and change the style of the
middle one, the border breaks into two boxed paragraphs, leaving the middle
paragraph without a border. I guess I've fixed that by just switching to
using a table instead of trying to reapply the border. Thanks for the
feedback.

When you apply a style that doesn't have a border as part of its definition,
then of course the border is not going to be applied to the paragraph; the
same thing would happen if you selected any of the bordered paragraphs and
pressed Ctrl+Q. But you can apply the border to the paragraph in the
different style the same way you applied it to the others, and it will be
the same provided the indents are the same.
