how do you show a schedule in time of day instead of in days?

I am working on an extreme makeoverproject and I need to show the schedule in
actual time of a day instead of in days. How can I change the gant chart to
display the actual time of day that a task is to be completed?

You can show the time of day in the Start and Finish date fields by going to

Tools / Options

In the Options dialog box select the View tab and then at the top, select a
Date Format which includes the time of day.

Hope this helps,

Emily

Emily,
Is there a way to show the time of day in the gant chart also? Thank you
for your help.

Emily,
How do I get the time at the top of the gant chart to correspond with the
time of the day in the task?

Hi tsr,

The timescale in the Gantt chart view is affected by the zoom
(magnification) that you are seeing. If you want to see time show in the
timescale you can:

1. Click the zoom in button on the Standard toolbar (magnifying glass with
the plus mark) to zoom in until you see hours.

or

2. Go to Format > Timescale. Click the "middle tier" tab and set the units
to Days, Count to 1. Click the "bottom tier" tab and set the Units to Hours,
Count to 1. Set the Label as appropriate for your needs.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

You can use the Format / Timescale settings to customize the timescale to try
and match the Date Format you select

Just select the number of Tiers in the timescale (2 is the default), then
customize the appearance using the Hours Units on the bottom timescale
