How do you use the pen feature

I just recently updated to office 2003 because many different people I know
have a nice pen feature in word. I was planning to use the feature to draw
certain notes, yet the feature is oddly missing. I compared it to someone
else who used the feature, and the option to do this were absent. Since all
notes that I get are in word, its annoying to take notes by copying and
pasting it in onenote (I lose formatting present.) Is there a update that I
need to dl to use the pen feature, or is there some add in to make it work?

Hi Katsu,

In Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel
check the Microsoft Office 2003 setup to see if
the 'Alternate Input' features have been installed.

Sorry, it didn't help, I went and searched for something in the install
features, and found Microsoft Handwriting Component was installed under
shared features. Every Office feature has been installed. After everything
was installed, I checked, and its still not there. I tried the help, and it
told be to go to Insert->Picture->Ink Drawing and Writing. I can't seem to
get it to work. Only OneNote really works right now. Is there any fix or
installation that could add this back, or something?

Hi Katsu,

Are you using a Tablet PC (or the tablet PC version
of Windows XP)? The help page you referenced
for the feature Insert=>Picture=>Ink Drawing and Writing
mentions that you'll only see that entry on a Tablet PC
(you can drag that command from Tools=>Customize=>Commands
choosing the 'Insert' category to the Insert=>Picture menu,
but it may not activate). Yo can use the drawing pad and
the writing pad from the Language bar and insert those objects
in Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
