How does one add 3-D to picture in Publisher 2003?

I am trying to add 3-D to a picture in Publisher 2003 but can't. The Help
facility says to go to some tool bar and pick 3-D off the toolbar. I can't
find that. Can anyone help?

Do you have the picture selected first?

You cannot add 3-D to a clipart .wmf picture. You must ungroup the image first and
delete the background box or add a 3-D to it (you have to fill it first), if you
regroup the image and add 3-D, every segment will have the 3-D look (very weird). All
WordArt and Autoshapes support 3-D. Right-click any toolbar, check 3-D Settings.

Let me explain: I have a MS publication, I inserted a jpg picture at the spot
I wanted it, then resized it, and then selected it, right clicked and format
picture. Nothing is avail. What am I doing wrong. Thanks.

You can put 3-D on a shape but not a picture. What effect were you looking
for? Something that adds a shadow or such?

You cannot add a 3-D effect to a bitmap.You could create a frame with autoshapes and
apply the effect to it and fill it with your picture.

Go to View - Toolbars - 3-D settings. Someone else already said this but
you can also just right click any toolbar to see the toolbar menu.
