No she can't and she doesn't want because her MVP status has just been
renewed and so bye-bye for now until the 11th month!! Incidentally,
I have assumed the title of MVP to make me the Most Vulgar Person!!
If the Office XP is retail then the extract from EULA is as follows:
General License Grant to Install and Use Software Product. You may
install and use one copy of the Software Product on a single computer,
device, workstation, terminal, or other digital electronic or analog
device ("Device"). You may make a second copy of the Software Product
and install it on a portable Device for the exclusive use of the person
who is the primary user of the first copy of the Software Product. A
license for the Software Product may not be shared.
So it is clear that you can install it on a Desktop and a Laptop without
breaking your license agreement. May I also remind you all that in
practice you can have unlimited installations provided you continue
buying new computers on which you are entitled to install YOUR copy of
Office XP. You have a license which will entitle you to keep installing
on any new computers you buy provided the two computers are not used
simultaneously. I can't see how a student can use his/her both computers
simultaneously when he/she is away from home!!
