How to abbreviate "Project"?

Silly to some (many?), but I've seen the word "project" abbreviate
several different ways and want to get the "official version" if ther
is one.

So, how do you abbreviate "project"?

PS: Google search didn't help

It all goes back to The Tower of Bable from the bible....
Being that there is no officially recognized single list of abbreviations,
you are really on your own.

On our larger contracts, there is typically a list of abbreviations and
acronyms, curiously project is not included. When referring to "a project" I
have seen "pjct" once or twice. When referring to Microsoft Office Project,
I don't know the official Microsoft stance.... I personally have used MS
Project, MSP, or something like P2003P or P2007S to represent Project2003
Professional or Project 2007 Server. It all depends on context.

(I like these easy ones....tee hee hee)

Thanks Jim, Not a lot of help but makes me feel a little less out of
it. I would use the abbreviation referring to a project under
construction in a database field. eg, PrjName, PjctName, etc. Since
I'm on my own maybe I'll call it "Sam"!

Until next time, Thanks

If you are doing this in Code, the it appears the preferred name is pj.
Example:

Dim pjTarget as Project

Look in the Object Browser. In the VBE, press F2.
