how to activate active directory in MS Project 2003

After installing MS Project 2003, the active directory is greyed off. How
can I activate it ?

Hi,

Interaction with Active Directory is I think only enabled when connected to
Project Server and setting it up is an admin function. So, if you don't have
Project Server, you can't synchronise with Project Server, hence it being
greyed out.

If you are talking about the Insert | Resource from... | Active Directory
menu item then verify that you are in a resource view (like the Resource
Sheet view) and then try it. It is always greyed out when in a Task based
view.
