How to add an audio explanation to each power point slide?

I an preparing a power point presentation with a picture and text on each
slide. I also have to add audio for each of the text messages. Can someone
help me with this?

Greg,

With a microphone connected to your computer, you can go to Slideshow,
Record narration and speak into the presentation, adding your own narration.
Unless of course, you already have the audio somewhere else ready to add?

Greg - do you want the sound to start with the slide or when you click on the
text?
