How to add filters/converters to Office/Excel 2003?

Father Guido,

To save charts as .gif files do this:

1) Click once on the chart
2) Copy it (CNTRL+C)
3) start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint
4) Paste it (CNTRL+V)
5) File, Save As
6) Select Gif file from drop down list
7) you get a warning of degradation - just ignore it!

Thanks for the info, but I'm running a VBA macro in
Excel to extract 20 ranges as gif files for web
publishing. My macro converts the ranges into charts
and then exports/saves them as gifs. Sometime after
upgrading from Office 2000 to Office 2003 the GIF
converter got lost and it can't save as gifs. I tried
doing a full re-install of Office but that didn't help.
So now I'm trying to install the filters manually.

Don't explore the CD. Click on Start | Control Panel | Add or
Remove Programs | Microsoft Office 2003 | Change | Add or Remove
Features | Next. Click on the + to the left of Microsoft Office
to expand the category. Click on the + to the left of Office
Shared Features. Click on the + to the left of Converters and
Filters. Click on the little downward-pointing black triangle to
the left of Graphics Filters, and click on "Run all from my
computer". Click on Update.
