How to add Remaining Work column to timesheet view in PWA 2007

TiBA

I am using MS Project Professional 2007, Project Server 2007 and Project Web
Access (PWA) 2007.

How do I add columns such as Remaining Work to the timesheet view in PWA
2007? On my Timesheet View, only four columns are available: Cost Type
[Resource], Health [Task], RBS [Resource], Team Name [Resource]. I have full
Admin privileges.

Thanks!

Hi TiBA,

Unfortunalty you cant. If you want to update remaining work from the
timesheet, what you will need to do is click on the task name within the
timehseet. An extra window will open up with the task details, here you can
update the remaining work.

I know that is not very nice and clunky, but at this point in time you
cannot add the remaining work column into the timesheet.
Sorry to say

Marc,

Thank you for the quick response. Do you know of any plans to include more
flexibility in the timesheet view in future releases?

Thanks!

Hi TIBA,

what I do know is that MS knows of the gaps that the current timesheet has
and I am certain that the next release will close many ( all?) gaps. To when
the next realese comes out, I am not sure. I guess no one knows yet :)

The "Tied Timesheet" code corrects some of the clunkyness with the Timesheet
process (sorry.. no remaining work). You can find it on Codeplex. I've
got 2 customers that like it - installation is a bit tricky.

After installing the latest infrastructure update for Project Server 2007,
the Project Server administrator can now add the Remaining Work field to the
My Timesheet view. Hope this helps.

Do you know where in the data model (reporting database) the remaining work
is stored when entered from the timesheets?
