How to change fonts in Chinese text?

I'm using XP Pro, Office XP SP3 IME, Simplified Chinese.

When I enter text in Chinese, it appears in some default font. If I try to
change the font (select all, then choose new Chinese font), *some* of the
characters change font, but not all! This happens anytime I use the IME. I
have not been able to successfully change the font of an entire selection.

Anybody know how to fix this?
