How to configure multiple mailboxes?

Ok, I'm using Outlook at work with an exchange mailbox.
I also have a separate POP3 account that I want to
access. I can't figure out how to keep the accounts and
all the mail associated with each account separate.
Currently, incoming mail from exchange and POP3 goes to
the same inbox. I would like a whole separate list
(inbox, sent items, etc) for each mailbox. Everything
must be kept separate.

Can this be done? How?

You need separate profiles to do this.

So, this isn't possible to do within one Outlook
instance? I have to exit and reopen using another
profule to check my other email?

You can achieve the desired end-result by using a rule. In Outlook 2003 (not
sure about earlier versions) you can set up a rule that performs an action
(like move the message to a .pst folder) depending on the account that
received the message.

Ya, I tried a rule and it isn't what I want. I need a
completely different set of folders (Inbox, Drafts,
Trash, Sent Items, etc etc...) for each mail account. I
can't believe Outlook doesn't support this, but Outlook
Express does?

Hi,

Even Outlook Express would not help you do that as you cannotconfigure an
Exchange account in Outlook Express.

No, you can't. The OP wants completely separate set of folders for each
account and you just can't do this completely with rules. You can
approximate it, but not every folder can be duplicated (Outbox, for
example).

If you want a completely separate Personal Folders file, yes.

I am having a big problem with specifying email from a
specific account to be moved to a specific folder.
Anytime I specify the account I want the mail to be
redirected from, that account is defaulted back to my
main default account after I finish the rule.

I also am wondering how to specify different accounts
(like in Outlook Express)in the From field (I have 3 POP
accounts). It doesn't have a drop down list like OE
did.If these issues aren't able to be overcome I will be
switching back to OE :(

OL 2002 and 2003 both have an "Accounts" button next to the "Send" button,
allowing you to choose which account is the sender account.
