How to connect split task to another task?

Mayur

I know how to split the task. Please let me know if following scenario is
possible. I'm using MS Project 2007 professional version.

e.g. I've task 1 and task 2. I want to split task 1 and then connect the
fisrt part of task 1 to task 2. After completion of task 2 resume 2nd part of
task 1

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Mayur,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I suggest you make the first task Part 1 linked to Task 2, and have a Part 2
task to finish, linked to the end of Task 2.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mayur,
If I may expand just a bit on Mike's response. Although he didn't state
it in so many words, Project does not allow linking tasks mid-duration,
whether the task is in multiple parts due to a split or not. The split
task will have to be broken into two or more individual tasks as Mike
detailed.
