How to convert 2003 files to Beta Technical Refresh Format

M

me

The Beta Refresh is out on the 14th Sept.

Has the Onenote 2003 file conversion been improved from the last Beta? In
particular I had problems with Noteflag conversion.

My files are currently in Onenote 2003 format, what's the best way for me to
convert to the latest Beta Technical Refresh Format?

The reason I ask is I understand the beta technical refresh is an upgrade to
the beta version.

Is the best way either:
Office 2003 > Beta > Convert Files > Add Beta Tech Refresh
or
Office 2003 > Beta > Beta Tech Refresh Upgrade> Convert Files
(can you actually do it this way around?)

It looks like MS hasn't released any updated B2TR release notes, but I'd
imagine if the existing B2 had issues with your upgrade, then redoing the
same upgrade would repeat the same issues.

I would scour the release notes when they're released tomorrow to be
sure, but your second path outlined below would be the safer bet...

It's important to know that B2TR is a patch for B2. That means you first
need to install Beta 2 and then apply the B2TR patch to it.
