How to convert hours in days?

Guys.... how can I make cell A1 (which as 159.25 hours)say 6 hours and so
many mintues?

I assume that you mean 6 days etc?

=A1/24

and format as d\d hh:mm:ss

No one can convert 159 hr into 6 __hours__ without cheating .
Do you mean 6 __days__ and "so many minutes"?

Do you mean that literally, or would days, __hours__ and
minutes meet your needs?

For the latter, use the custom format dd:hh:mm.

But that only seems to work for less than 32 days.

The format [d]:hh:mm does not seem to work. But the format
[h]:mm does, yielding hours and minutes, not days.

The subject and body of your post don't jive. If A1
contains hours, then to convert to days / hours / minutes:

=INT(A1/24)&" days "&INT(MOD(A1/24,1)*24)&" hrs "&ROUND
(MOD(MOD(A1/24,1)*24,1)*60,0)&" min"
