How to delete a line generated by WORD

If I type the hyphen several times and press ENTER, Word will
automatically generate a line to repalce the several hypens typed.
That is fine. However, I find no way to delete the line so generated.
How to delete this line?

Word treats those lines as borders. Select the line, then click on
Format/Borders and Shading. Click on 'None' then OK and your line (border)
is gone.
