How to deploy outlook 2007

Hi,

Sorry for my english.

I have create a msp with OCT. Now my problem is how to deploy it to 20
computers without using a gpo. I have read about to create a networ
dstribution point. Is this the solution?,... SMS is not posibl
solution.

If anyone have fight with this problem I'm istening possibilities.

Hello Pepote,

You will want to create a network install point pretty much no matter what
method you choose. SMS, GPO, Startup script, even walking to the computers
manually will all benifit from having a network point to kick off the install
from.

So if I understand your post correctly, you want to deploy Outlook 2007, but
you dont want to use GPO, or SMS.

Do you want it to be automatic, or do you want to walk around to each
computer?

If you want the install to be automatic and you are using an OCT you could
use the startup script method.

That does use GPO to push the startup script but doesnt use the "software
installation" method that you are trying to avoid within the GPO.

Hello Eric,

Your reply has been very helpfull. I am going to read very carefully
your link, because this must be the answer i was thinking to
implement.

The object is to make the update of the current clients,...outlook
2000, 2002 (XP) and 2007 transparent to the users, and easy to
administrate. I have configure OCT that i think is a very complet
application so i'll try the deploy with your solution.
