how to export an image from Word to Photoshop?

I need to extract some images in a Word file, that have been inserted without
link.
They originally were in high resolution. Is there a way to recover or export
the images keeping its high resolution when inserted? I am trying using MS
Picture Manager but it downscales the image size of the picture.

No. Best you can do is save the document as HTML. There will then be a
sub-folder alongside your document called 'Files for ...' containing the
images. But you will likely have lost quite a lot of quality along the way.
A Word document is a lousy place to *store* graphics.
