applications.

Last week my computer broke and i sent it off to be
repaired and when i received it back they had wiped word
etc off of my computer, every time i try and put the
software back on and it asks for a number but the only one
i have on the microsoft student application form is a PID
25 digit number and that doesnt work so i cant install
office xp and i dont know what to do!
Please help! I am a secretary and need to use my computer
when i work from home at the weekends!

To begin with, if you're a secretary, and not a student, then you do not
qualify for a student licence, so you're in violation of the EULA. That
notwithstanding, the installation code should be somewhere on the cardboard
wallet Office came in, printed on a yellow - some would say orange - sticker
marked 'DO NOT LOSE THIS PRODUCT KEY' (the STE doesn't come in a jewel case,
TTBOMK).

Hi

As i said i bought it a few years ago which was when I was
16 and a student and now I am a secretary so there's no
need to get upset, people aren't students forever.

I do not have a yellow sticker on the back of the box,
just checked. And the discs came in wallets so there were
no cases which had yellow stickers on them as my excel
disc has.

Is the number i need to put in called a PID because if so
I have that but it just doesnt work, I cant even call the
helpline as you have to state the number of your product
haha!

Is there any way else i can find it out? I am sure i
registered with microsoft on the internet in some way when
i bought it and first loaded it on so would there be some
record somewhere?
