How to get rid of Custom Properties?

Bec

I have already asked this question but got no response so I am trying to
explain it a different way.

I am using Visio 2003 and have a network drilldown diagram with over 100
pages so far with hundreds of devices.

I have created some custom properties that I now want to get rid of. They
are no longer on any shapes but they are being "held" somewhere in Visio so
that when you save the file as html the superflous custom properties come up
ticked in the advanced search window. I want the smaller subset to only show
up as the others are confusing for users. Is there any way to delete custom
properties?

Thanks!!

Dear Gurus:

Between two pages with different drawing scales, it used to be that (for
example) a one inch circle could be copied from one page and pasted onto
the other and still be one inch according to the rulers of the two
pages. Now it seems that the size of the pasted version is no longer
preserved according to drawing rulers, rather seems kept constant
relative to the printer page size. Is there an option I can set to get
the original behavior?

To complicate the puzzle, some stencil masters now exhibit the same
problem, while others seem to observe the drawing scale just fine. ???

Sincerely,

you might consider putting a GUARD on the height and width of your objects.

That would mean having to guard every shape I put on the two pages!
It would also preclude changes (e.g. in resizing groups) when desired.

I didn't have to do that before, and it seems unduly burdensome now.
Isn't there some global option to set to get the (IMHO) "correct"
behavior out of Visio?

Thanks for the response but I finally figured out what had happened. There
must have been some shapes on one of the 117 pages that still had these
custom properties in there. I had to configure a report to run on just those
custom properties individually to find out what page and what shape they were
in. Took a couple of hours but I think I have gotten rid of the superfluous
custom properties now.

Cheers

More to the point, this is not a change since visio 2002 (I reloaded
2002 and it has the same problem); rather it occurs between pages whose
drawing scales differ by more than a factor of 8. Less than that,
copy/paste works as advertised; greater than that, it does not. This is
clearly a long standing bug, but one which I can work around. Just FYI.

Sincerely,

-- Lea
