How to get rid of the Auto Preview in Outlook?

My Outlook 2003 continues to automatically open Auto Preview each time I go
into the Inbox. How does one get rid of this irritating program, other than
"clicking" on the Auto Preview button in View each time?

is this an imap account? if so, make a new view instead of changing the
default view - for some reason some IMAP accounts cause the default view to
be reset.
