How to get URL without the.html

I wish to refer people to a specific page on my site
without having to add the .html

For example 'www.myweb.com/sales' instead of the
longer 'www.myweb.com/sales.html'

Can this be done? If so can anyone tell me how?

Just create a new folder for your page you want. In this case the folder would be "sales". Once that is done then the index page in this new folder becomes you "sales" page
