how to link exported data from Portfolio Analyzer?

Hello, I'd like to be able to export the data from a Portfolio Analyzer view
(in Project Server 2003) to Excel....and be able to update the data in Excel
after the OLAP cube is refreshed. This would require that the pivot table
data in Excel stay linked with the OLAP cube data wouldn't it? Is there an
easy way for me to do this...or is this a custom/dev solution?

Hi Jesse,
Its very easy, use Excel to connect to an external data source, and then
choose the OLAP data source option (I haven't got Excel 2003 installed
anymore so can't remember the exact menu options). You'll need to specify the
Analysis server and the cube name, plus present a set of credentials. This
creates a pivot table for you in Excel, so you just have to save the
spreadsheet, and each time it opens, you can refresh it (or somewhere in
excel there is an option to autorefresh on each open).
