how to loop an animated sequence in a slide (sequence consists of about 10
objects and 10 steps). After the steps play, I would like to return to the
first step and play the sequence automatically again, and so on.

This is a limitation of the 'repeat' animation settings - it cannot be done.
But work arounds do exist. The most common is to create a separate
presentation that loops until ESCape (usually a 1 slide show). Then link to
this show from your 'real' presentation. Check here for details on how to
