It works, it works, it works (bounce, bounce, bounce).
Thank you very, very much.

(But I still think it's odd that it can't be done straight from)

I just think
it is silly that Word is able to do graphical things that publisher
can not
So did everyone else, which is why the Escher drawing tools were added to
Publisher in version 2002.
Thank you very much for offering your thoughts on upgrading etc.
Thank you for listening :)

What about using "Washout" and changing the settings?

The options available under the Format Picture dialog are a part of the
Escher tools, unless I am very much mistaken.

Not if you follow my directions :)

Brian K it is great to be acknowledged for my perfection in everything.

Perhaps bonsai g.w. bush should stand aside and let me do a proper job of
running the US of A.
You would never have another problem with illegal people as I would get rid
of them all from whence they came, and then disband the military down to a
small home guard. All those put out of work by disbanding the military
would be able to take all the jobs available that the illigals previously
held.

You can, too, make a colored watermark in Publisher 2000. I just did it. Problem is, I cannot get the darn thing to PRINT! It's there, visible & everything. And it won't print. Anyway, go to the page you want the watermark on and then Ctrl M to go the Background. (Or select View and click on Go To Background. Add your picture, then Ctrl M again to go to the foreground. Your picture will be in the background as a watermark. Does that help?

Hi,
Thank you for your answer, however the picture will be full color and
I wanted it toned down. But Brian Kvalheim has already given me an
answer that works:
In Publisher 2000, go to Insert > Picture > New Drawing. Then, insert your
clipart/picture. When you right click on the picture, you can go to Format
Picture > Picture Tab > Image Control and change to Watermark.

I don't care to get into political swipes on these news boards, but I will
agree with one thing, I don't care for Bush. However, I do support my troops
and their families and wish they could all return safely and alive.
