How to number gift voucher in publisher

I have produced a gift voucher in Publisher XP. It is a four page
publication, I want to number each voucher, on page three, how can I do this?

Not sure what you mean by "on page three." Are you using a merge for the
numbers?

Sorry, I should have said, the page setup is "folded card"- top fold- landscape
Therefore I have a front, back and two inside pages, I need to number each
copy on an inside page, is there a way of doing this ?

Are you merging the numbers? Do you have a duplex unit?

If you do not have a duplex unit, it will be easier having two publications.
Print the front side without the merge. Turn the page over and merge from the
second publication. The numbers in this case will be on page one.

If you do have a duplex unit and you have inserted two pages, page four is
actually page three. Open your data, merge the numbers to page four. Anything
you have on page three will print upside down if you don't manually rotate the
objects.

I don't know what you mean by merge the numbers, or duplex unit, is that a
printerto print on both sides?

Are you going to manually type the numbers? It would be less confusing if you
use two different publications. The second publication will be the inside of
your folded card. The number you type will be on page one in the second
publication along with objects and text you create.

A duplex unit is on some printers, it automatically prints both sides.

Remember, whatever is on pages 2 & 4 will print upside down.

I dont want to have to type each number onto each publication I wondered if
there was a way of numbering it so that when I print a batch the numbers will
update automatically ,like a page number, maybe its not possible I just
wondered. Thanks .
