How to number pages in a document

How do I number pages in a book beginning at Page 5 but numbering page 5 and
up as Page 1 through whatever? I've tried just about everything! HELP! The
project I'm working on has about 166 pages. Pages 1-6 are my cover, tables of
contents, etc. Pages 7-166 are the actual book.
