How to open more than one Excel files when Excel starts?

Hi,

I'm coping with the following problem: How to open more than one Excel files
when Excel starts without putting them into XLStart folder?

The files I'd like to open automatically are in a network folder and they
are shared ones. Since my computer is a notebook I quite often use it
without the net.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Andras

Hi Andras

there is a workspace option under the file menu that you might like to
investigate ... it allows for the opening of multiple files at once.

So rather than automatically opening the files when opening excel create a
workspace (with the icon on your desktop) - to create the workspace
open all the files you want
choose window / arrange and arrange them as required
choose file / save workspace
now close excel

to open excel & the files, double click on the desktop icon and they should
all open up for you.

The workspace does not contain the files or a copy of the files, just a
pointer to them, so it doesn't matter where it or the files reside.

Hope this helps
Cheers
