How to open multiple windows in MS Office Pro 2007

Hello,

I recently bought MS Office Professional 2007. Would someone please tell me
how to get it to open multiple windows? For example, I need to view two power
point presentations side by side for comparison, but I cannot open a 2nd copy
of power point. It always opens both presentations in the same copy of power
point - one behind the other.

Thank you.

In PowerPoint (for example), click the Office logo, then click PowerPoint
Options. In the Advanced tab, under Display, click to enable "Show all
windows in the taskbar."

Thank you, but I've tried that. In that past that trick worked, but with
Office 2007 it is not working. I still only get one window for power point,
and can only view one presentation at a time.

Thank you, but that option is already enabled. I see both power point files
in the task bar, but when I click either one, the same window of power point
is activated. Only the file being displayed is changed.

Add the command button "Window" to your toolbar. It allows you to view and
arrange multiple windows.

Disable the option Herb pointed out ("Show all windows in the taskbar").
Then switch to the View tab and look at the Windows group there. Select
Arrange All and both presentations will be shown side-by-side,
unfortunately though only inside the PPT window.

Thank you. At least I can see them side by side now. That's a big help. They
are still inside a single instance of PowerPoint, but I can live with it, I
guess.

Thank you. That does work as you said. Actually, it doesn't seem to matter
whether all windows are displayed in the task bar or not. Either way,
PowerPoint shows both presentations side by side in the single instance of
PowerPoint.
