How to perform a full uninstall of Office XP

I am trying to completely uninstall Office XP. When I use the uninstall
feature from the CD, it does not completely uninstall.

I think that it's not completely uninstalling because it saves all my files
and still has the same issues when I reinstall.

Is there a way to force Office to remove all files, so that I can have a
clean reinstall?

Why not do a Detect & Repair and let the system make the
necessary decisions.

I have tried several times to no avail. It seems that it is worthless in my
circumstance.

A properly-designed uninstall program will remove all of the files that
the install put on your machine and leave all of the fiels that you put
there yourself. Most uninstall programs won't remove user-created files
or settings.

Why do you thing that uninstall/reinstall will solve your problem? There
are only a very few issues that can be resolved that way, and in my
experience they're extremely rare. Try describing your problem here.
Perhaps someone can provide a real solution.

I finally figured out the answer to my own question. For those of you
experiencing a similar issue, you can find the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility at:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

This utility will remove all registry information that the standard
uninstall process does not. While it will not necessarily remove personal
files, it does provide a more thorough uninstall.
