How to "print first page only" using a button?

Hi, Forum users! This dilemma drives me crazy.

I most often only want to print the first page ONLY of a Word document. I want to be able to configure a single button or key command to let me do this, as opposed to going into "file > print" and setting that option.

Is there a way to do this??

thank you!

Since you don't mention which version of Word it's hard to say:

In versions of Word prior to 2008 you can record a macro to do so. You can
also add the macro command to a Menu, a toolbar, and/or assign a keyboard
shortcut to it.

Office 2008 no longer supports the VBA macro language and I don't know
AppleScript well enough to say whether the same can be done with it.

CyberTaz - thanks for your quick answer! I have Office 2004, so that should work.

Do you have a macro and/or instructions for one that would do that? I'm not sure how to create macros, I'm afraid...

(Also, there is not yet even Word 2008 for the Mac, is there?)

thanks!
