how to receive mails with outlook express throught a LAN proxy

I used to receive all my mails with Outlook Express throught a DSL connection.
But now the DLS connection is on one LAN machine only and a proxy was
installed on the same machine.
How can I go on receiveng mails with OE?

You can´t, if the proxy you are using is not forwarding ports 100 and 25,
email transport will not work. Depending on what proxy you are using, it may
be possible to set up a port forwarding for port 25 or set up an email
proxy. Maybe you do not need a proxy but may use internet connection
sharing. For security reasons, instead of using a proxy you may consider
buying a hardware router, which distributes internet in your network and
blocks most attacks.
