How to Recover deleted calendar entry - not in deleted folder

Can anyone advise if it is possible to recover a Calendar entry that has been
deleted and no longer appears in deleted folder (auto delete on close is set
up).

I can see it in Calendar view/view menu/current view/active appointments but
it appears as a ghost record, eg no right click options, cant open etc.

Any help much appreciated, I have lost a whole days work (very busy day...
not just bullet points!!)

Using an Exchange server? Click Tools, "Recover Deleted items" (at
least with Outlook 2007)
