I just recently bought a new computer with Windows XP
Home edition. I still have Office 97 but I cannot
install it on new computer with XP.

Does anyone know how I can configure my machine to
install Office 97 software?

I am in the same boat. When I go to install Office 97 on my Windows XP I get
an error message with a heading of "16 bit Windows Subsystem" The message
reads "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt The system is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications."

I believe this file was created when I tried to install the program. Any
suggestions on what to do?
