How to restore ribbon and active tabs in word 2007?

Does anyone know how to restore the ribbon and active tabs when they become
missing in Word 2007?

Somehow or another when I go into a Word document...I have the start tab in
the left corner..and the quick access toolbar which shows save, undo, redo,
and print preview and then I have the arrow showing to customize quick access
toolbar, but that is it above the ruler? It seems I am missing the active
tabs, as well as the entire ribbon.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You can press Ctrl+F1 to minimize the Ribbon (sounds as if this is your
situation now) and press Ctrl+1 to expand the Ribbon again so that it remains
visible. Instead of using the Ctrl+F1 shortcut, you can right-click in the
tab area of the Ribbon and select “Minimize the Ribbon†or you can
double-click one of the Ribbon tabs.

Thanks for trying Lene; however, it didn't work. Still have nothing in the
top tool bar. (No ribbon or tabs) I just tried to send you an e-mail of the
screen print. Please let me know if you don't receive it.

Thanks!!!

I have not received your e-mail. You are welcome to try to e-mail the
screendump again ( please note that, in general, it is not a good idea to
send such e-mail without previous agreement).

Unfortunately, I am afraid I will not be able to help you except for
suggesting a repair of the installation which you may already have tried
(Office button > Word Options > Resources > Diagnose). Alternatively, could
it be that you have installed a Word add-in that is tampering with the ribbon?

In previous Word versions missing 'toolbars' could be fixed by resetting the
data key in the registry. It would be worth renaming the data key for Word
12 to see if that fixes it. -
