How do I rotate a line of text in a Type Box 90º - so that when rotated the
type box presents the type standing on it's side? I am able to do this in my
graphics program - but can't figure out how to do this in Publisher. thanks
for your help - lawrence blakeslee/Bend OR

In Pub2000 click Custom Rotate on
your toolbar...or hold your Alt key and
move your pointer around on the handles
until you see the rotate symbol.

In 2002 and 2003....just left click / drag
the green handle.

You can also Right Click on text box, go to Format Text Box > Text Box tab >
check off the "rotate text within autoshape by 90 degrees"

If this is something that you do frequently, you could add the toolbar
button called "Text Direction". Just go to Tools > Customize > Commands tab
Format Category > and scroll down to the Text Direction button and drag it
onto your toolbar.
