How to save current view settings (filter, sorting)

Hello,

How do I save the current settings of the window - e.g Sort by, Applied
Filter; and come back to that setting later. Is it possible to created named
settings so that I could switch between those? For example I have created a
fileter for a single resource, applied sorting by start date. Then I would
like to save the settings under the resource's name and next time I need to
view his tasks I should be able to chose the preset.

Hi Create a new View for each format you want. A View consists of a View
type (EG Gantt Chart, Resource Sheet etc, a filter, a table (collection of
columns) and a group (see help and the Project menu). Create as many Views
as you like and use the Organizer (Tools menu) to copy them to your
Global.mpt file so they are available to all your projects.

Thanks,

I managed to get the filter to be applied depending on the view, however
sort setting does not stick. Each time I change views they are not getting
sorted when they are openned. I have to right click and chose Sort by (which
by the way shows the columns I specified for sorting).
How do I make MS Project to refresh the sorting upon openning a view?
