How to save & transfer email from Outlook to new computer

I'm trying to export my current email from Microsoft
outlook to outlook on my new computer.
I try to use export but does not work.

Please provide detailed instructions.

Are you using Exchange Server or a local Personal Folders file?
Could you elaborate on "does not work?" What are you trying and what does
not work?
