how to send email to large number of recipients one by one

I have a large castumers list (about 200) which I sometime sends e-mails to.
I do it by copying the e-mails list (from exal file) and paisting it in the
"BCC" of my message.

The problem is that many at many recipiens the message is filtered as "spam"
message.

Is there an automatic way to send this massage one by one, (preferably with
the recipient apearing in the "TO" line.)

thanks in advance
Amir

Use mail merge.

You would need to do a mail merge for that, rather than using the BCC field.
If you have Word installed and it's the same version as Outlook (both 2003,
for example), you can do the merge between the two. Or you can use one of
the many 3rd party mass mailing programs available. Look at the following
pages for further information:

Hello Jocelyn, thanks for your answer.
I tried to use Word mail merge with the merge wizard, I chose "mail
messages" , I passed the steps correctly (indicating an exel file which
contain the names and e-mail adresses. at step 6 ("coplete the merge") i
chose "lectronic mail", I confirmed by "ok" to send to all records, It seems
o.k. but actually nothing happened. no mail was sent. is there another step
to take ?

Remark: my Word is 2002, my outlook is 2003, can this be the problem ?

Regards
Amir

Yes, that is the problem -- the versions of Word and Outlook must be the same
for the mail merge to work. You would need to use a third party solution
instead.

hello Jocelyn, it's me ones again.
I reinstalled office. now I have word and outlook, both 2002 sp3.
still, when I pass throu the stages of the merge wizard, everything looks
fine, but again nothing happens at the end.

I don't know if there is a connection but when I try to choose: file>send
to>mail recipient,
I get the message: "word could not load the e-mail envelope. this could be
caused by a network connection problem or a problem with office installation".
(on the other hand file>send to>mail recipient (as attachment),
works ok)

I tried to run a "repair" for office, but it didn't help

and another problem:
Since the reinstallation of outlook, I lost all my inbox, adress book, mail
acounts deffinitions etc. is there a way to retrieve them ?

Regards, Amir

I'm not sure what may be causing your mail merge problem. I think that there
may be a Word newsgroup that deals with mail merges -- if so, you might want
to repost your question there.

Look here for instructions on restoring your old Outlook data to your new
installation:
