How to set default duration to milestone in Microsoft Project?

David

How do I set the default duration to "0d" (as in milestone) instead of "1d?"
in Micrsoft Project 2007? I used Project to keep track of only milestones and
it is very cumberstone to click on each task to manually change the duration
to show 0d.

Please help.

Hi David,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

No, it can't be changed. However, if you select all tasks (the button above
the ID column) then go to Tools/Task Information and enter a zero in the
Duration cell, then OK will set all tssks to zero Duraton. This is a
standard way to insert the same data into a selection of tasks.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
