How to set up totalling of sub-tasks in Summary task

I have a column"% Completed" and enter the % of the tasks in this field.
But the Summary field is not getting summed up the tasks % and doesnot allow
manual entry.Pl. see the example below:
% Status Descriptions.

0% Communications
100% Depatmental Meeting
100% Team Leads Meeting
0% SOA Compliance/ IT Controls
0% Testing for IT General Controls & Self-Assessment
0% Initialization of Testing Processes
60% Identify Processes
60% Identify process Owners
0% Identify the Risks in the processes
The Summary Tasks "Communications", "Initialization of Testing Procedures"
etc are not getting summed up of the sub tasks.

Hello Chandra,
Are you using actually the "% Complete" or the "Physical % Complete" field ?
The second one never sums up.

Another idea : aren't you in manual calculation :
Tools / Options / Calculation / choose Automatic
