How to stop picture from getting grainy

I have saved pictures from the internet that I want to put in a power point
using fill efffects, they are extremely grainy....what can I do to fix them,
or is it something that can't be fixed because they are saved pictures?

It's all about pixels.

A lot of pictures on the internet only contain a small amount of pixels
(dots to you and me).

More dots = better quality
less dots = less quality

This is made worse when images are scaled bigger in size.

Hi,

The image resolution you download is what you get. Images off the web are
often shrunk for size considerations. You also need to be careful of
copyright issues when downloading and using from the web.
