How to transfer settings & toolbars to a new machine from an old one

R

Rod

My old laptop's motherboard crashed so I've gotten a new one. I have the old laptop's hard drive in a USB case and can access everything on it. I'm kind of a power user and am really dreading the idea of re-customizing all the office toolbars and settings.

Is there a database file or settings file I could copy over to save me from this hell?!

Thanks

What version of Office? Can you use the "Save my settings" wizard?

If you are willing to invest about $50, you can buy the
IntelliMover program, and it will move settings and
preferences, as well as anything else (except programs) you
might want to move. It will also furnish the necessary
cables as part of the price. I got my IntelliMover from
Dell, but you can probably get it cheaper on EBay.
