How to translate Publisher into Quark for Mac

Is there any translation software (not MacLink Deluxe; doesn't work) to
translate Publisher files into Apple-format page layout software: Quark,
Adobe Illustrator, Pagemaker or MS Word?

Nope.

You can get the text out as a word file (or RTF or something) and yhe
graphics ought to be external anyway.

So I have to recreate every Publisher file? Get the printed piece, scan as
template, procure/retype text, procure graphics and place just like the
original creator? What a clossal waste of energy, effort and time. Microsoft
- hope you read this and get it together for Apple users.

Do you think Apple bends over backwards so that all MS programs can be
retrofitted into Mac-based programs? It's a nice thought but this is the
real world and it's not going to happen.

If you had these DTP tools at your disposal, why would you set anything up in
Publisher, especially if you knew that the document would have to go to a
Mac? Publisher is a light duty
design tool, and performs in a limited arena. If you need versatility you
should look into software that provides it. It's not Microsoft's fault.
